Shannon Caturano is a multimedia Journalist and on-air reporter from Long Island, New York. Breaking news is Shannon’s passion. Her ultimate goal is to work as an investigative reporter at a local news station.

Shannon’s professional development started during her classes and activities at Hofstra University. Shannon transferred to Hofstra University her Junior year, and immediately became involved in Hofstra’s media department. She is a field reporter for Hofstra Today, where she reported at the Presidential Debate in 2016. Shannon is also a member of the Marconi Award winning radio station WRHU FM, as an associate producer and anchor.
She has interned with Cox Media Group and Spectrum News NY1. After completing her internship at NY1 she was hired as a freelance news assistant. During Shannon’s last semester of college she spent her mornings as a video journalist at NY1 and her evenings in the classroom and on-camera for HEAT. Shannon has also been recognized as an outstanding TV Breaking News Reporter by the Society of Professional Journalists.
