Big beverage brands play a role in recycling

Beverage brands are claiming that their products are recyclable, but the packaging and labels around the plastic could possibly make that plastic non recyclable. Culture brands are trying to have an edge on other companies by using more creative labels. These labels often effect the PET plastic that was originally meant to be recyclable.

Large companies need to work together to ensure the packages they create are recyclable and support the likeliness that they will advance recycling rates instead of diminishing them. Big brands can find support by working  with trade associations organizations like (NAPCOR) The National Association for PET Container Resources.
